About Us
My name is Sean James and I am the Managing Director. I joined the Army when I left school at 16 and served abroad until I was 21. When I left the Army I applied for a job with Newport & Mon Typewriter Co Ltd as a van driver/ warehouse admin. Within 4 years I moved up the ladder to become Sales and Marketing Director and remained until 2010 when the Managing Director decided to close his business after 50 years. Having enjoyed my job so much and with the utmost respect and admiration for the Managing Director and his wife who was the Secretary Director I decided to continue doing what I enjoyed and created Newport & Mon Office Equipment Ltd, the name is a mark of respect to my old M.D. and his wife but is also to continue a fifty year tradition to provide office equipment to S Wales. My aim is to continue the service for another 50 years, and provide the care and attention with the professional touch that I always witnessed from my previous employers.
My name is Sian Llewelyn and I am the Secretary Director. I left school at 16 and continued my education in Nash College. My original goal was to become a nursery nurse but the course I needed was full so I decided to do a diploma course in business studies. When I completed the course I was offered a six month Y.T.S placement at Newport & Mon Typewriter Co which consequently turned into 28 years loyal service. Over the years the job has seen many changes and I have taken on more responsibilities and as this chapter of my life has come to an end I look forward to the challenges of running our own business and continuing to offer reliable service and support for all our clients new and old.
